Cycads, ferns and conifers were the staple diet for Muttaburrasaurus though it would doubtless have been drawn to the flowering plants evolving in this period. Like Iguanodon, Muttaburrasaurus was able to graze the forest floor with a beak-like muzzle, raising itself onto its hind legs to crop the taller vegetation from the trees.
